Nancy Yackel Photography
I fell in love with photography when my sister gave me a camera for my 12th birthday. I grew up as a farm girl near Maple Creek, SK, clicking pictures through high school. I moved to Medicine Hat in 1976, married and raised two children who were the subjects of numerous photographs! I studied Business Administration at the Medicine Hat College, graduating in 1996 with an Accounting Major with Honors. In 2004, As a football mom, I took action shots at my son's games and sold them to parents as a fundraiser for the Medicine Hat Hawks. I started my business ''Snapshots Photography'' at this time. My children grew up and left for university, and I married Kevin in 2005.
Between getting lots of experience snapping sports events, graduations, families, and weddings, I'm continuing my artistic education as a current student with New York Institute of Photography, and I also enroll in numerous online courses learning new trends for photography. In 2013 I changed my business name to ''Nancy Yackel Photography'' to reflect the the growth and professionalism of my work.
