BUSINESS EXCELLENCE EXEMPLIFIED THROUGH LOCAL FINALISTS OF ALBERTA BUSINESS AWARDS

(Medicine Hat) The Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that ten local companies are among the 44 finalists named for the 2019 Alberta Business Awards of Distinction, which is the highest number of total nominees from a single region within the province represented at these awards. The 2019 Awards will be held on March 1, 2019 and will feature 12 categories designed to recognize the best practices in numerous aspects of business operations. The highest honor of the evening will be the presentation of Alberta’s Best of Business (formerly the Premier’s Award of Distinction), selected from the finalists in the other twelve categories, recognizing excellence in building a better Alberta.

‘Our area continues to be well represented, as several businesses have been selected as finalists and winners in various categories over the last few years’, stated Sarah MacKenzie, Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce President. ‘The Chamber of Commerce is incredibly proud to nominate each of these businesses and have them represented at the 2019 Alberta Business Awards of Distinction, allowing us to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit and accomplishments of our region through recognition at a provincial level.’

Every year the Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce submits local nominations to the Alberta Chambers of Commerce (ACC) through the nominations received by the Chamber of Commerce for the local Business Awards held annually in October.

‘This year 67 nominations, in 10 categories, were submitted to the ACC’. stated MacKenzie. ‘We are pleased at the depth and quality of nominations that we were able to put forward.
