(Medicine Hat) – The Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the nominees for the 2018 Chamber Business Awards. Held as a kick-off event prior to National Small Business Week, which runs this year October 14 – 20, the annual awards provide an opportunity for Medicine Hat and Southeast Alberta to recognize the outstanding achievements of our business community. After a rigorous nomination process, our nominees have been finalized.

This year’s event theme, “The Elements of Business”, represents the business experiment that is at the heart of every commercial venture. Every entrepreneur takes a look at the market and tests out their idea like a scientist uses an experiment to prove a hypothesis. In the lab of the marketplace a business equation is tested, and with the formula being tweaked and adjusted carefully and thoughtfully to account for challenges and variables, the final product should equal success.

With the support of our sponsors, including CHAT TV and Chatnewstoday.ca (Ceremony Sponsor), TD Bank (Banquet Sponsor), Brightan Financial Strategies Inc. (Chamber Partner), CIBC Commercial Banking/CIBC Wood Gundy (Twitter Screen Sponsor), MNP LLP and Air Canada (Platinum Sponsors), and Cypress View Veterinary Clinic (Gold Sponsors), the Chamber is proud to announce the businesses who were nominated in 14 categories. The winners of each category will be awarded at the Business Awards Banquet set for October 12th.
