CHAMBER ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF 2018 DIRECTOR ELECTION
(Medicine Hat) – The Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the election of three new directors, one re-elected director and eight returning directors for the 2018- 2020 term. Directors assist in providing leadership and advocacy for a continued healthy business environment, as well as contributing to the voice of business in the Medicine Hat and surrounding area.Directors, who were elected to begin their term September 1, 2018, are:
- Dave Hanni – CJCY 102.1 FM (re-elected)
- Irlanda Price – Medicine Hat College
- Tammy Sweeney – Canalta Centre
- Reagan Weeks – Southeastern Alberta Sexual Assault Response Committee
As part of the Board of Directors’ succession planning for the Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce, nominations are held every year to actively seek dedicated, community and business-minded individuals whose common goals and principles coincide with the Chamber of Commerce and the organization’s mandate.
Deering further stated, ‘With this years’ board election and returning directors, we have a wealth of experience and knowledge at the table with individuals who are committed to working on our members’ behalf and carrying out the Chamber’s mandate of connecting and supporting our business community.’
