We are proud to support our members and recognize their outstanding achievements tonight, and throughout the year,’ stated Sarah MacKenzie, Chamber of Commerce President. ‘On behalf of the board of directors, staff and the over 800 members we serve, we’d also like to congratulate all of the award winners for showcasing excellence in their respective categories.’
This year’s event theme, “The Elements of Business”, was chosen to represent the business experiment that is at the heart of every commercial venture. Every entrepreneur takes a look at the market and tests out their idea like a scientist uses an experiment to prove a hypothesis. In the lab of the marketplace a business equation is tested, and with the formula being tweaked and adjusted to account for challenges and variables, the final product should equal success.
Along with the awards ceremony, attendees were treated to entertainment from DJ Stu with SoundWERX and Remix Flair Bartending. KJ & Nic, the award hosts, kept this year’s audience entertained throughout the night.
The event was sponsored by various businesses and organizations including TD Bank (Banquet Sponsor), Chatnewstoday.ca and Chat TV (Ceremony Sponsor), Canadian Natural Resources Limited (Entertainment Sponsor), Brightan Financial Strategies Inc. (Chamber Partner Sponsor), MNP LLP and Air Canada (Platinum Sponsors), CIBC Commercial Banking & CIBC Wood Gundy (Twitter Screen Sponsor) and Cypress View Veterinary Clinic (Gold Sponsor).
